Media Literacy is the study of the art and messaging of differnt forms of media. Media is any work, object, or event that communicates some kind of meaning to an audience. Most media texts use words, objects, graphics, sounds, and/or images, in print, oral, visual, or electronic form, to communicate information and ideas to their sudience.
During our media units we will have the opportunity to develop our media literacy skills and look at, analyse, and discuss a wide variety of different forms of media. We will be creating media texts such as cartoons, posters, commercials, graphic designs and layouts, and using digital programs such as Microsoft Photo Studio, bitstrips, PowerPoint, Popplet etc.
